Jam Sessions
The intimate DSG Auditorium is used for
student, professional and open jam sessions every night of the SBNYJF. The
format varies, and there are sometimes opportunities for students only (often
with preparation for inexperienced young musos as part of the teaching
programme); or diverse selections of the performers who kick-start a jam session
with an ad hoc collaboration. As with any jam sessions, they can sometimes
provide the hottest jazz of the festival!
